Then Mayu meets another man who has feelings for her, and Takuma meets a woman who has the same illness, and their feelings for each other begin to waver. He cannot stand to see her cry or hurt her more than he already has. On the other hand, Takuma, who knows his days are numbered, pushes away his feelings for Mayu and distances himself from her. Mayu continues to support and love Takuma. Time passes, and the girl becomes a young woman, and the boy, a young man. The distraught children make one promise for an uncertain future.
They develop feelings for each other, but Mayu learns of Takuma’s grave illness and that he will die before he turns 20.
Mayu, whose father is a doctor, meets Takuma, who is hospitalized in her father’s workplace. The story begins when they are little kids. When band manager Yukari becomes sick, the LANDS members already fond of Asako, call Asako to take of Yukari. The band manager, Yukari (Ayumi Ito), soon kicks Asako out, but Natsu is determined to keep her around. Natsu is immediately attracted to Asako and invites her to their studio for practice sessions. Asako meets LANDS members Kenji (Hideyuki Kasahara), Ryuji (Nobuaki Kaneko), and vocalist Natsu (Jin Akanishi). The girls then sneak into the backstage area during a LANDS concert at club.
Asako loves the CD and fast becomes a fan of the band, especially guitarist Yukiya (Kengo Kora). Miharu lends Asako a CD of her favorite indie rock band LANDS. One day, Miharu decides to drop out of school due to parental problems.

I know these two dramas have different storyline but I just couldn’t resist comparing, perhaps because there are some familiar faces from Hana Kimi here. Plus, Sato Takeru looked like Kame and when his face turned expressionless, he looked like Jin!! 😛Īnyways, Mei-Chan no Shitsuji is ridiculously funny and I have to say I like it way better than Hana Kimi, more enjoyable as there is NO over-the top repeated silliness like Hana Kimi. Ermm, is it me or my imagination? I find his voice super deeply sexy than his previous roles in Hana Kimi and Zettai Kareshi. Love Nana, love her character, love the story and especially in lurrve with Hiro Mizushima. Her hair was long and looking all sweet gentle elegant in Boku wa Imouto ni Koi wo Suru and Proposal Daisakusen!! 20 minutes into the show, I totally gotten used to her hairstyle and her character, watching this drama non-stop (eps1-4) in one night. When I watched the first episode, I tried to ignore and not to be bothered by Eikura Nana‘s short hairstyle.
